Set a Great Example!

There’s nothing greater than the feeling you get when your 10-year-old daughter comes to you and tells you how proud she is of you.

I never thought that owning a store would be a cause for so much excitement, but my daughter seems to think that I am some kind of celebrity because of it.

She tells all her friends about what her mom does and then they think I’m a celebrity when really, all I wanted was to give women a chance to shop for different things that came from a solid and honest source.

I want my daughter to grow up knowing that there are so many wonderful things in the world that are made without causing any harm to anything or anyone on the planet, and for that, I’m proud too. But not for the same reason as my daughter is of me. I’m proud that I have chosen this path and through it I know she looks up to me.

It can be difficult to balance work with life. Focusing on all natural, organic and vegan products can be hard sometimes but, in the end, I am proud that I have never given up on my commitment to my personal morals and values. I am proud that I can show her that. That, my friends, is what I am proud of.

Being a working mom, a dedicated friend to those people I have around me who always have my back and show me support when I really need it and being a loving and caring wife are the things most important to me outside of my business.

They all have their ups and downs, of course, but not a single day goes by where I think that maybe I could have done something different. Its important to do what you love and be with the ones you love, so for me, running my own store and only selling products that I trust are very important.

We can’t all have our cake and eat it too, we all have to climb a long ladder before we can get to where we really want to be in life, but I assure you, it is possible. And most of all, it is entirely worth it.

I know I’m not a celebrity! And I’m good with that. I don’t need to be known to the world for what I do or who I claim to be.

All I need is to see that look in my daughters’ eyes when she tells her friends about her mom and what she does. It’s amazing! That is what it’s all about for me, how proud she is of me for something that I really never considered to be a big deal.

I still don’t think its that big of a deal, but to see her and know that she is proud of me just for being me, that is why I do what I do.
