Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I use gluten-free skincare?

Many people are gluten-sensitive or have gluten-allergies they may be unaware of. This is especially true for people with Celiacs, Hashimoto’s disease, Eczema, Rosacea, and Psoriasis. However, anyone can benefit from gluten-free skin care. Gluten-free skin care products are rich with antioxidants and ingredients with anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce redness for any skin type.

How do you test your products for gluten?

Our products are made in a gluten-free laboratory rather than a factory that may manufacture other products with gluten. The Dr. Liia team has specifically chosen products that do not contain any gluten or gluten by-products so that we can guarantee all of our formulations are gluten-free.

What is the shelf life?

The shelf life of our products is 12 months.

Is everything gluten-free?

Yes, all of our products are formulated gluten free as well as made and packaged in a completely gluten free laboratory environment!

Is everything vegan?

Not all of our products are vegan. Products that are vegan are labeled in the description.

Where are your products made? Are they made in the USA?

All of our products are made in the U.S. and shipped from Libertyville, IL. All skincare products are made in Libertyville, IL.

Are your products organic?

All of our products are organic. Each ingredient in the formula is derived from something that occurs in nature. Oftentimes, these ingredients are purified and then synthesized, but are still derivatives of organic materials.

Are your products scented?

All our products are scented with oil extracts such as lingonberry (just a drop to mask the smell of butters etc). We do not use any synthetic fragrances.

What is the percentage of alcohol in your hand sanitizer?

Our hand sanitizer is between 75-80% alcohol. The FDA requires isopropanol based sanitizers to be at least 70% alcohol. However, our higher percentage does not make the product unsafe. Rather, it guarantees that germs will be killed all while moisturizing your hands with aloe vera and hyaluronic acid!

What alcohol is used in your hand sanitizer?

We use anhydrous isopropyl alcohol grade 99% in our hand sanitizers so that they are safe to use. We do NOT use any methanol or other toxic ingredients. Before purchasing hand sanitizers, please be careful and check the ingredients. Over 75 brands of hand sanitizer have been recalled by the FDA because they contain methanol.

How do I pay with my credit card if I don't want to use PayPal?

We accept credit cards. Click “Proceed to Checkout” (above the PayPal options). Once you are on that page and enter your information, click “Gateway for Clover” to use your credit card.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship internationally for all of our products except for our hand sanitizers. There may be a higher shipping rate depending on your country.

Is propylene glycol safe to use?

Propylene glycol is a humectant which means it hydrates the skin by attracting water molecules. It is safe to use as long as you do not have an allergy to it.

What is the difference between petroleum and petrolatum? Is petrolatum safe to use?

Petroleum is a naturally occurring flammable liquid while petrolatum is a moisturizing agent. Petrolatum is a more purified version of petroleum jelly. Our petrolatum is safe to use. It is fully refined as it is imported from Europe.
